How do I unfollow the Facebook group or manage my notifications?
If you would like to be part of the Facebook group, but don't want the posts in the group to show up on your main Facebook feed, you can 'unfollow' the group. This will stop the posts showing up in your main feed, however you will still be part of the group and be able to see all the content when you click in to the 'Be Mobile Online Membership Group'.
You can also change your notification settings for the Facebook group, to change which posts you are notified about. Please scroll down to see more information on how to do this.
If using Facebook on your computer, the options to unfollow a group will show up if you click on 'joined', as in the image below. To unfollow the group, simply click 'unfollow group'.
If using Facebook on your phone or tablet, the options to unfollow a group will show up if you click the three horizontal lines/hamburger tab as in the image below. Then to unfollow the group click the three dots and select 'unfollow group' from the dropdown menu.
How to manage group notifications.
Managing group notifications gives you the option to change what notifications you will receive regarding posts in the group. You can choose to receive notifications for either all posts, highlights, only posts from people you are friends with on Facebook, or turn off notifications for the group altogether.
On a laptop, click 'joined' in the group and then on 'manage notifications' (see first image above relating to unfollowing a group). From a smart phone, click the three horizontal lines/hamburger tab menu, then click on the notification bell symbol next to the 3 dots (see smart phone image above).
You will then have the below notification setting option pop up. Select the options that you want and then click Save.
