What program do I start with after a break?


If you have had a break from your exercise program, you may be wondering which program you should begin with.


  1. As a Be Mobile Member, the best place to begin is the 8 Week Fit & Strong Program. You may have participated in the 8 week Fit & Strong Program in the past, but if a considerable amount of time has gone by since you exercised, then this is still the best place for you to start.


  2. If you have recently completed the 8 Week Fit & Strong Program then well done, you can dive straight into Member Program 1.


  3. If you have had a short break from your membership, simply continue with whatever Member Program you were doing.

Ease back into your workouts

Take note that after having a break from your exercise program, you will be less conditioned to the workouts. It is therefore wise to start with a manageable weight, slightly below what you were using before you stopped the program.

E.g. if you were performing your squats with 15kg and have had a 1-2 week break you may start back with 12kg. If you have had a significant break of 4 or more weeks then consider starting even lower at say 8kg.

Remember that you may experience some muscle and joint discomfort after your first couple of sessions. This is normal and to be expected, however you must remember the principle, Start low, go slow as we explain in the video below.
